This means dancers have to be willing to travel out there or move out there to attend frequent dance auditions. Traveling expenses for auditions always have to be covered by the dancer. If they book a show, then they will have their further traveling expenses covered as part of their salary.
Road tour dancing opportunities are often available for dancers who are constantly putting themselves out there and attending music video dance auditions. Dancers who work with one choreographer on a music video may have a better chance of doing a music tour with them. Working well with choreographers on a project allows them to get to know your abilities and work ethic.
