The choreography for musicals is not always extremely challenging. Sometimes it is in shows which are written for dancers like A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, Cabaret, or other famous Fosse shows. However, many directors are looking for dancers who can also sing.
You can prepare for broadway musical auditions by taking professional dance classes, acting classes, and voice classes. There are many dance schools who offer musical theater classes. These other strengths can only help your dance career on the broadway stage. Musical theater is one of the hardest challenges a dancer can face. A dancer must truly be a great performer to be successful at it.

Training is key, and pure determination is essential. You must love it. You must be willing to sacrifice, and you must be willing to pull out all the stops at every single audition.
